Sikkim, the state in India, is located in the northeastern part of the country, in the eastern Himalayas. It is one of the smallest states in India. Sikkim is notable for its biodiversity, including alpine and subtropical climates, as well as being a host to Kangchenjunga, the highest peak in India and the third highest on Earth and also because of Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. While Sikkim is divide into 4 districts: North, South, East & West. All four region has their distinctive quality. Sikkim, which lies in the lap of the Himalayas is one of the coldest places in the country. The North-Eastern part of India is home to one of the tallest peaks in the world, Kanchenjunga, where the temperature falls as low as -32° C. Sikkim is one of the few states in India to receive regular snowfall.

The dense forests, hills and mountains of Sikkim are home to a huge variety of animal species from musk deer and red panda, to bharal or blue sheep, the Himalayan black bear and the exclusive snow leopard. This small state consists of 5 Wildlife sanctuary & a small Orchid conservation reserve. marked with 28 mountain peaks, 80+ glaciers, 227 high-altitude lakes, five major hot springs, 100+ rivers and streams, this Northeastern State has enough challenges to quench the thirst for adventure. While Trekking, Alpinism, Ice & Rock climbing and Rafting is a well-known sport in the region, it’s also perfect for Mountain biking & Paragliding.

This is the first project we have ever planned. This project is all about witnessing the beautiful small state on the bicycle as our mode of transportation, and experience the adventure it has to offer. Our aim is to visit all four district and explore each one of them in-depth with the help of our local friends. The project has been divided into 4 parts, with a dedicated trip to each of the four districts. As of now, we have put this project on hold. Stay tuned for more updates and information.
