World’s first known Written love letter (Carved on rock), upward flowing water, Natural trampoline, Asia’s second-largest church, World’s Oldest theatre, 100ft high waterfalls, Cave with its own unique Species, and never-ending dense jungles are barely the tip of what this state holds for the visitors.

44.21% of Chhattisgarh’s landmass is woodland. That is why it is no surprise that the state has 3 national parks and 11 wildlife sanctuaries. In simple words, if you’re into wildlife or have a passion for wildlife photography, Chhattisgarh is a paradise for you! Leopards, Tigers, Nilgai, Four-horned Antelopes, Barking Deer, and Striped Hyena are some of the common species instituted in these areas. Chhattisgarh is home to several tribal castes with Gonds of Bastar being prominent among them. Meet the gentle and friendly Baiga people, the principal indigenous forest tribe. The experience begins in the south of Kanker; hiking our way up the forested Keshkal Ghat, which marks the border of

Bastar -home to a tribe by the same name. Visit a local market in the region to interact with the locals. The place in North Chhattisgarh are lush green and the romantic dawn and dusk so very enchanting. The yet to be explored place has beautiful hill slopes, jungles, waterfalls and is a hill station that has not been exploited. There is a Tibetan settlement that offers an excellent opportunity for interaction with them. In fact, Mainpat is also known as ‘Mini Tibet’ because of the settlements.

It’s hard to believe that a state located in the central part of the country is still highly unexplored and unknown to the outer world. It’s a very diverse state, which has more than just minerals and Naxalism. Chhattisgarh is the state which reaches the record-breaking temperature during the summers and during the winters, few parts of the northern district go below zero resulting in the whole town gets covered by Ice.

Our project is dedicated to explore our home and bring out the world-class adventure in front of the community and the world. Hundreds of waterfalls, huge rock structures are just perfect for rock climbing and not to mention waterfall rappelling. With 4 National Park, 10 Wildlife Sanctuary & 1 Bioreserve, there is ample amount of exploration opportunity for Photographers & Wildlife enthusiasts. Small peaks such as Mahadev Hills, Tamta Mountain, Dalha Pahad provides a good opportunity for Trad Climbing & Bouldering. Stay tuned for more updates and information. Meanwhile, if you have any questions or you want to know more or want to join us in the journey, please contact us without any second thought.

Phase 1 - Exploration | North Chhattisgarh

Visiting as blank Slate - Jashpur Nagar

Our first few visits to Jashpur opened our eyes to the region’s great potential for rock climbing and adventure sports. The diverse rock formations in the Deshdekha & Bel Pahad area offered many possibilities for climbing exploration. What enriched our understanding even more were the insights we gained from the locals. They helped us see the region’s unique features and untapped potential. So, we decided to plan better for our next visit. We aim to film a documentary while developing the “Deshdekha” climbing area for climbers, immersing ourselves further into the possibilities that Jashpur offers.

Phase 2 - Development of the Climbing Crag | North Chhattisgarh

Developing Deshdekha Climbing Sector - Jashpur Nagar

The local government was very supportive in our project, helping us open the “Deshdekha” climbing sector in Jashpur. This support made our exploration and development work much easier. At first, we were only planning to make one small documentary about the region’s beauty. But seeing how much potential Jashpur has, we decided to make three documentaries instead, all dedicated to its stunning beauty and climbing opportunities. So far, we have listed 89 routes under the Deshdekha climbing sector’s name on 27crag. Key contributors in developing and opening these routes were Jerry from Golden Boulder Hampi and Sachin Sir & Ayush Vartak from Shivdurge Mitra, Lonavala. We plan to open at least 40 more routes in the coming years, including some multi-pitch ones. We also have two documentaries coming out by May 2024.

Phase 3 - Further Development of the Climbing Crag | North Chhattisgarh
